Through interdisciplinary works, the exhibition, City Paste, explores escapism and utopia beneath polished surfaces, where illusion, performance, magic, and installation blur the boundaries of reality. Set within a hyperreal city of perfect facades, repeating patterns, and quiet unease, it invites viewers to look beyond the familiar and uncover the vulnerability and uncertainty hidden beneath perfection. Together, Albert Folmann and Joshua Astor invite visitors to encounter the citizens of City Paste.

City Paste was exhibited as part of Copenhagen Photo Festival’s VÆKST programme in May 2026, a platform dedicated to emerging talent, artistic experimentation, and interdisciplinary exchange.
